The Horse is a Living Legend connecting human history around the globe. Celebrate this magnificent creature! Join Equine Rescue Association (E.R.A.) in their protection and survival.

There are many great ways you can help the senior and disabled horses at E.R.A. than you can imagine! Find the one that's right for you. 

Come visit E.R.A., during visiting hours 1 - 5:30 PM daily, to meet the horses, volunteers, and show your support in our cause.

Isn't it a wonderful thing that we're all different? Each of us has strengths and skills to share. And when we link our individual strengths together, we're invincible.

Volunteering

Volunteers are the backbone of E.R.A’s non-profit charitable organization. You, the horses, and E.R.A. benefit. It is a win - win situation. It is also a wonderful way to keep your skills up to date, to expand them, and to share them with others.

It's easy! We always need volunteers to maintain stalls, put horses out or in, groom, exercise, feed, help with office work, operate information tables and a million other tasks.

Horse experience is NOT required.

Age Limit: Under 10 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Under 18 must have a permission slip signed by a legal guardian.

Horse Care Volunteer Program

The horses need care takers! Volunteers provide hands-on, direct contact with horses. This includes maintaining stalls, brushing horses, turning horses out and bringing them in, and much more.

You can choose to spend all day or just a few hours. Many options are available to fit your life style. Horse experience is NOT required.

Facility Maintenance Volunteer Program

Volunteers keep the E.R.A. facility in tip-top shape! It's extremely important that we have a safe environment for horses and humans. You may be repairing or replacing fencing, building or repairing shelters, mowing lawn are a few.

Community Awareness Volunteer Program

Help get the word out about E.R.A! Volunteer to prepare and post mailings, newsletters and flyers and many other office jobs. Also volunteer to help with preparing and presenting various community education programs, writing grant proposals, manning information tables and community events.

There are other ways to help out as well. Our horse sponsorship program allows for you to finacially sponsor one of the horses. Your sponsorship pays for feed, veterinary care, farrier work and medicine.

Our Riding Scholarship allows for you to sponsor one of the Equine Rescue Association’s riding students for one month.
